It will be the cheerful notes of the town band that will launch this year’s 15th edition of our festival. It is a festival characterized by the high quality of works in competition as we see with the international participants who effectively portray the social problems from the countries they represent: the German film LIMBUS-is here for its world preview; the Finish film TWO BIRDS-about two youths stripped from their pureness; the Palestinian film LASH SAREEN- where a war full of infinite hate buries any hope and every feeling. In Italy the theme couldn’t be anything else but the job situation or to be more specific lack of jobs for young workers. This is bitterly depicted in the film TUTTO BENE from Puglia.
The new section 0 Budget = 1000 Ideas intends to put to the test young talents who are willing to undertake a cinematographic career. It has already proven to be a success and last year’s winner has gone on to win one of the prizes of the CortoLazio contest and is now in competition with his first semiprofessional work. Talking about the CortoLazio contest, this year we will be celebrating the 1st feature film of the young director who won the contest twice; Matteo Rovere. He has definitely passed into the professional cinema world with GIOCO DI RAGAZZE (Saturday, 30th 21:00).
Thanks to the work of our new and valid collaborators as well as the intervention of new sponsors such as the Consortium of Lake Bracciano we have provided an incentive to create collateral manifestations along side the festival:
From the humorous Red Carpet (Firday 29th 20:00 Entrance of the Cinema) which will present and welcome both our Italian and foreign guests by mimicking the grand international festivals, to the first edition of the literary prize LARTHIA which the homonymous female association has awarded to (Sunday 12:00 Sala Consiglio Communale) the writer Salwa Al Neimi, author of the internationally acclaimed book LA PROVA DEL MIELE, and is also a member of this years international jury…
Many films, many prizes and loads of fun!
Hope you enyoy the Festival!
